Statens institutionsstyrelse (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS LVM-home Rällsögården receives men with alcohol, drug, or polydrug abuse, often in combination with mental health issues.
Job Description
Do you want to make a vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the role of Operational Manager is a meaningful choice. As an Operational Manager, you are responsible for cross-institutional coordination and leadership of ongoing work outside regular office hours, specifically during evenings and nights. Your primary goal is to promote a safe care and work environment.
You guide and support your colleagues and ensure that work is conducted in a legally secure manner and in accordance with current guidelines, methods, and set goals. Specifically, this involves:
- Taking charge of incident management during alarm situations and taking necessary measures after incidents occur.
- Reporting identified deficiencies and deviations from routines to relevant managers.
- Preparing and updating security assessments.
- Making decisions on compulsory measures according to the LVM (Care of Abusers of Certain Drugs Act) in accordance with SiS work and delegation orders.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you are a stable person who remains calm even in stressful situations. You have the will and ability to act based on current decisions, guidelines, and policies. You have a holistic view and always act in the best interest of the operations. Furthermore, you are structured in your work and have a good ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
You should have the following:
- Appropriate higher education, such as a degree in social work, behavioral sciences, or equivalent. Alternatively, a university college degree (at least two years, e.g., treatment pedagog) combined with experience working within SiS or similar operations.
- Several years of experience working within SiS or another organization focused on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, healthcare, corrections, or other relevant sectors.
- Good ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate a work group.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).

Employment
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is by agreement. Working hours are distributed across day, evening, and night shifts.
